Tasks:
- Engineering the ships layout and steel construction plan of hull and superstructure of a large cutter suction dredger. This based on the technical specification and general plan and according to rules of Bureau Veritas
- To engineer (design and calculate) and draw the construction plan, section plan, deck layouts, navigation plan, rigging plan, ventilation plan etc (we work with Microstation 2D but experience in AutoCad 2D also acceptable)
- Strength calculations (in general manual calculations, no FEM) and designs of deck foundations for winches, locations for local loads etc.
- Weight, centre of gravity, trim/list, stability, longitudinal strength calculation
- Checking of (subcontracted) workshop drawings
- Supporting the team manager shipbuilding with respect to detail engineering and coordination of the team
