Bridge Engineer-Southhampton

To provide professional services related to the management of bridges and other structures on the Area 3 Network (Bridge Assessment, Design, Strengthening, Testing and Refurbishment).

Wymagania:

Responsibilities

• To undertake bridge designs and assessments
• To carry out structural analysis of motorway and trunk road structures to ensure compliance with national standards
• To carry out studies to determine optimum methods for maintaining and improving highway structures
• To provide recommendations/approvals for routing of heavy loads within network providing cost estimation and formal reporting for proposed workloads
• Comply with Designers duties under CDM Regulations

Oferujemy:

Qualifications and skills required

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• 10-15 years relevant experience
• Chartered Engineer (MICE or MIStructE) desirable
• Knowledge and understanding of structural behaviour, design codes, materials
• Proficient in advanced computer analysis
• Demonstrates problem solving initiative and able to define, adopt and implement innovative solutions
